IMPRESSIVELY DISPLAYED, THE HAND-PAINTED BLOOD MOON ON THE DIAL OF THE OPUS PM 70 III

The blood moon is a fascinating natural spectacle that can be explained by the simple physics of light scattering. Many mystical powers are associated with it, and yet its colouring is only a result of the interaction of sunlight with the earth’s atmosphere. Instead of mischief or magical powers, the blood moon is a reminder of how beautiful and complex the natural phenomena in our universe can be.

The two-part, black anodised dial of the Opus PM 70 III therefore deserves special attention. The 12 o’clock numerals are red, just like the blood moon. The phases of the moon can be read on a hand- painted disc through the opening at ‘6’. A pleasantly gentle tone sounds at every hour , the so- called ‘Passing strike’.

By the imprint on the dial, the owner can see which model of the limited edition of 99 pieces he has.

OPUS PM 70 III

PLAIN, EXTREMELY GRACEFUL AND FUNCTIONAL IN THE BEST MANUFACTURING QUALITY - THIS IS HOW THE OPUS PM 70 III PRESENTS ITSELF TO THE VIEWER.

The fine manufacture movement of the Opus PM 70 III also corresponds to this remarkable range of quality. A classic Graham escapement is just as much a matter of course in the calibre 1410 as the use of high-quality materials. The blood moon is picked up once again by the red sparkling ruby jewels of the extraordinary rope pulley.

With a height of 70 centimetres, the extremely elegant pendulum clock blends harmoniously into almost any home and attracts attention. The anti-reflective, U-shaped mineral glass lends the watch case a special sophistication. The winding crank only needs to be removed from a small flap in the case base once a week to wind the movement.
