5. Plugins and Tools

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the Google-operated YouTube site. The site operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers will be established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

YouTube is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Further information on handling user data can be found in YouTube’s data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display text and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to the Google servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website was accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offering. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer.

For more information about Google Web Fonts, visit https://developers.google.com/ fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https:// www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Google Maps

This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

In order to use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer.

Google Maps is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers and to make it easier to find the places we have indicated on the website. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

You can find more information on handling user data in Google’s data protection declaration: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

6. Newsletter / catalog orders

Description and scope of data processing

You can subscribe to a free newsletter on our website. When registering for the newsletter, the e-mail address and the language from the input mask are transmitted to us. In addition, the following data is collected during registration and used on our behalf by our service provider The Rocket Science Group, LLC/Mailchimp within the scope of sending the newsletter:

(1) Webid, unique user identifier
(2) Source of filing
(3) Registration form name
(4) Date of last profile update
(5) Geolocation & time zone
(6) language information
(7) Date of Registration

You also have the option of requesting our catalog to be sent by post.
For this we ask you to provide all the necessary data for the postal delivery such as first name, last name, street, postal code and city, country and selected catalogue. This information is mandatory for the order. You can also voluntarily state how you would like to be addressed, your possible title and, if you wish, an e-mail address and telephone number together with your consent for further advertising contact. Other technical data collection corresponds to the newsletter order.

Your consent will be obtained for the processing of the data as part of the registration process and reference will be made to this data protection declaration. Your separate consent is not required for the mailing of the catalogue.
There is no transfer of data to third parties in connection with data processing for sending newsletters and catalogues. The data will only be used for the respective dispatch.

We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to send the newsletter, i.e. we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have previously expressly confirmed to us that we should activate the newsletter service (Art 7 (1) GDPR).
If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we store the following information:

  • Webid, unique user identifier
  • Unsubscribe newsletter campaign
  • Email Id (for The Rocket Science Group, LLC/Mailchimp)
  • Contact Id (for The Rocket Science Group, LLC/Mailchimp)

Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing of data after the user has registered for the newsletter and ordered a catalog is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR if the user has given their consent.

Purpose of data processing

The collection of the user’s e-mail address serves to deliver the newsletter.

We need the postal address for the catalog order because our catalogs are only sent by post. Other voluntary data when ordering catalogs serve to be able to address you personally.
If you also provide your e-mail address when ordering a catalog together with your consent to the sending of advertising material about our product range, we will treat this information as a general newsletter order.

If you voluntarily provide your telephone number, we can use this to clarify possible queries about your postal address in the event of unsuccessful deliveries.

The collection of other technical personal data as part of the registration process serves to prevent misuse of the services or the email address used.

Duration of storage

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. The e-mail address of the user is therefore stored as long as the subscription to the newsletter is active. The contact details for the catalog order are only stored for as long as your order is active. However, both the e-mail address and the contact details for ordering a catalog will not be deleted if this data is required for further correspondence. This is the case, for example, with existing customers for contractual purposes.

Possibility of objection and removal

The subscription to the newsletter can be canceled by the user concerned at any time. For this purpose, there is a corresponding link in every newsletter.
Ordering the catalog only refers to one copy. It does not need to be terminated separately.
Orders can also be canceled by sending a message in text form to the contact details specified in this declaration (e.g. email, fax, letter).
The termination also enables a revocation of the consent to the storage of the personal data collected during the registration process.
