IMPRESSIVE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND FUNCTIONAL PERFECTION
Desk, mantel and console clocks have been an integral part of sophisticated, tasteful interiors for centuries. The exterior design was based on the style of the period and the intended use, with either decorative or functional aspects dominating. In the Renaissance, table clocks were characterized by numerous calendar and other astronomical indications in addition to the hands for hours and minutes.

FINE AND ELEGANT LINES - DESPITE ITS ELABORATE DESIGN: THE OPERA IS A TIMELESSLY BEAUTIFUL TABLE CLOCK

Cosmopolitan art lovers thus impressively demonstrated their interest in the progress of science. Today, Erwin Sattler continues this long tradition. Exquisite craftsmanship and technical innovation, paired with contemporary design, are at the forefront – always with the usual quality standards of the manufactory. And they are simply irresistibly beautiful.

As a desk or mantel clock, whether in the office or surrounded by valuable paintings, the Opera is ideal as a functional accessory. The clockwork is only protected by glass. This allows a clear view of the movement with its fine cogwheels. On a black wooden base with metal inlays, the glass construction is held only by four chrome-plated brass strips, giving the impression that it is floating.

Based on a gold-plated gear train developed in the manufactory, the watchmakers realized their vision of a reliable, low-maintenance and durable table clock movement. A mechanical spring force compensation system using a fusee and steel cable provides a remedy when the driving force stored in a mainspring continuously decreases over the 15-day running time. A complex process that also makes the Opera a particularly valuable timepiece in technical terms. A watch equipped in this way meets all the requirements of traditional watchmaking craftsmanship. It is classic and discreet, unobtrusive and yet the highlight of the room.

The OPERA has a power reserve of 15 days and a Swiss escapement with screw balance.

The OPERA has the following dimensions: height: 36 cm, width: 24 cm, depth: 14 cm.

There are 12 precision ball bearings inside the OPERA.
